Kevin M

The food here was divine. I especially liked the Kobe beef and the Japanese chicken share plates. Between five people we got through four share plates (two of them the Japanese chicken) and we left with contented bellies. Their extensive cocktail list was also impressive. Would come again

Carlos Siliezar

Do yourself a favor and visit this cool restaurant in Canberra. The service is unmatched. We were looked after by Max, who truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we've had in a while. Highly recommend!

karen goldhawk

Must for a Canberra visit! We ordered the delux banquet which was so interesting and delicious. Faves were the beef tartare with those crunchy crackers, kingfish ceviche, miso eggplant (SO GOOD) and the wagyu beef was 5-star (we would come back this dish on its own!!) The salad was a bit over dressed and the squid and soft shell crab I’m afraid were both quite greasy. But the cocktails and desserts were sensational. Decor and atmosphere top notch! Altogether a really fun dining experience.

Tanya Hoppin

Akiba is compulsory every time we visit Canberra! Love love everything about it. The food is phenomenal and consistent! Will keep coming back.

Wamuyu Thoithi

Amazing small plates! We ordered the FEED ME. Fave was the kingfish ceviche

What a fabulous experience! We had a large group and they set us in a beautiful private room. We all got the three course degustation, and our waitress was able to recommend wine to match for entree, main and dessert. Everything was delicious, the service excellent, and the atmosphere a lovely balance of high class, exclusive and relaxed. We will definitely be visiting Courgette again!

Antonino Iannella

My friend and I went to Courgette for a special Christmas lunch, niether of us having been there for years. We had the three course lunch menu option. The service and food quality were high, as it was years ago. The current Christmas voucher offer was coincidentally available and appreciated. Greetings to Courgete for the best of fine dining in Canberra.

Ewa Talent

Exquisite food in this chic fine dining restaurant. Each dish was like an artwork and the flavours were delectable. I went for lunch with a bunch of friends and we all chose the 3 course option. I had the scallops, lamb loin and chocolate bon bon. All superb

Maddie Pearce

Amazing food, great drinks, will be back very soon! Reasonable price and good atmosphere! Salmon was outstanding!

Susan Hoffmann

Oh my!!!!! Do yourself a flavour (pun intended) and dine here. The food is delectable and service impeccable. From start to finish this restaurant is well worth the journey. We ordered the Feed Me set for 2 and it was more than enough for my family of 3. The food is truly exceptional! Everything is done fantastically. The only dish I would consider the "worst" was the greens and that was already pretty good. Highly recommend it.

Julie Nguyen

Love the food here. It’s always amazing. Drinks and food is phenomenal. The team are always so helpful and really have some great recommendations and they are so friendly. Recommend to book in advance they can get busy because it’s such a treat.

Yuki Z

It tastes good! The waiter’s attitude is also very good! It‘s just a little expensive. Super recommended ox tongue! The sauce really match with it can the price is reasonable. We’ve also tried the Massamun and Barramundi and they all tasted so good!!

Brent Leahy

Not sure if I chose well from the menu but the duck curry was next level good. Heaps of spice but the flavour was an explosion in the mouth. Lychees, pineapple, tomato, fresh basil, hot chilli and perfectly cooked duck. Outstanding. The service (especially the dude at the front) was excellent. Bravo Zaab.

Tasha St

Extremely friendly staff, felt very welcoming. The food was delicious!! As well as the drinks, we ordered zero alcohol fog horn, a flight of Negronis, an experimental drink. The small plate was a betel leaf and the tofu. The big plate was the cabbage rolls. For dessert the mango sticky rice. I never had such good vegan food before I recommend trying out this place for the good price for quality food and service.

Dianne Nilsson

This was such an amazing lunch location with delicious food, amazing knowledgeable staff and a lovely location. We were celebrating an 80th with a small group of 5 , but had such an amazing time we will be back...thank you

Sue Cunningham

I love everything about this place! The staff are great, the food is fabulous and it’s just a really nice setting. We had a table of six and we all did the 3 choices lunch with shared vegetables. Serving sizes were more than enough. We were about the last out for the lunch sitting but were never rushed. High recommend

Simone Sun

Had the most amazing small wedding experience here!! Because we didn't have many guests, most places we inquired just ignored us. However, Laura and team have been really communicative and supportive of all our needs. Strongly recommend to whoever is looking for the perfect place and service team for functions!!

Adam Solano

Our wedding reception lunch at The Boat House was an absolute delight. Impeccable service, exquisite food, and flawless planning made our day unforgettable. Did I mention the food? Martha Mata

The food is very delicious and perfectly cooked and balanced. Love every single dish. Good service and very nice people

C Shaw

Great food with a meat/grill focus, highly recommend the crunchy chips, brisket and pork belly which we got. Unpretentious atmosphere which strikes a balance between upmarket and down to earth.

Dennis Tan

Fantastic BBQ restaurant, cool atmosphere and delicious food. Sadly the brisket was sold out, so we will just need to come earlier next time.

Emma L Morzuch

Lovely, attentive service, relaxed ambiance, nice wine selection, AMAZING food and fantastic play list. First time here for dinner and we ordered the “feed me,” set menu and we definitely did not go home hungry! A pricey evening experience but well worth it. Highly recommend!

We had our Christmas lunch here and the service and food was excellent. We let the staff know ahead of the event of dietary restrictions and they effortlessly accommodated this into their Banquet. Their chicken and beef products are halal and they put together some exquisite seafood dishes as part of our Banquet. Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Highly recommended

Benjamin Bryant

The meals just came and were awesome. The staff were very helpful and gracious. The setting made for a wonderful dinner conversation. Fabulous!

Frances Lamb

What a fabulous place to celebrate a birthday. Four of us were turning a certain age and wanted to celebrate. The Lanterne Rooms was the perfect place. AMAZING food, FANTASTIC service, so attentive and kind, and a WONDERFUL atmosphere. Had the very best time with our friends and created a very special memory. Thank you all.

Geri

Lanterne Rooms is one of our favourite restaurants for a consistently excellent dining experience. Great food, great service and an interesting wine list. A simple but winning formula!

Kieran Davies

Seriously, purely amazing!!! The service was top notch. The food was some of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was great (a packed restaurant but not noisy). Well priced and exquisite dishes!!!

Sam Huang

It's pretty a unique and wonderful restaurant in Canberra city area. Service and environment are flawless, but the food is even better. It's one of a few restaurants in Canberra that you can feel the design of cuisine. Generally it's southeast Asian flavour, but nicely combined with western dining culture. Tho unlike typical stereotype whitewashed Asian food, the original flavour and essence of the food are preserved. I personally highly recommend to have a try, it's a great experience dining here.

Kim Rooken-Smith

The dishes were fresh and beautifully balanced. I love betel leaf and it was a treat to have such an authentic experience. The iced coffee was a must have on a hot day. I ordered the umami noodles which were absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal and impeccable service.

Daniel Yeung

One of two restaurants that I picked for a short 2-nights stay at Canberra. Nice vibe. Impeccable service. Not even in top Michelin restaurants would you find staff cleaning your table between courses. Food wise, I like their starters and dessert better than the main courses which I found in general salty, even with rice (but it can be just a personal preference).

Natasha Argenti

Utterly wonderful and delicious meal and atmosphere. MStaff were lovely and we're really helpful with their recommendations. Can't wait to have a repeat visit.

Jay Argos

Set menu dinner experience was wonderful. Floor staff were very friendly, attentive (haven't been so hydrated in a while!), and professional. Great value, quality food, and a relaxed and friendly environment - give it a try!

Duncan Flindle

I cant recommend enough. First up service was outstanding; polite, attentive and quick. The cocktails were also fantastic. Atmosphere was fun and energetic but not noisy or intrusive. Above all else the food was unbelievably good. Beautifully balanced flavours, good portion sizes and fantastic presentation.

Miki Norris

Without a doubt some of the best vegan options in Canberra. The dishes are so good, you wouldn’t know you’re eating vegan. We always go for the vegetarian set menu altered to be vegan and we are never disappointed. The falafel is the best in Canberra hands down. Staff are always lovely. Atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Patrick Rehn

Amazing food, excellent and super friendly service. Great to try something a bit different and find it so delicious.

Liza Doyle

We loved our experience at Bar Beirut. Authentic dips, koftas, and the cocktails were beautiful (must try the wasabi martini's) May the Maitre d' is personable and an asset to the workings of front of house.

Authentic Ethiopian food. Love their bread and the starters. Meat options are good and cooked well with their spices. All the food are cooked daily so it's always fresh. You can tell that from the queue everyday who come here for lunch. Always fresh food. Great vegetarian options too

Alistair Graham

This place fed me through my entire university career. I still try to go back to visit every time I'm in Canberra. The food is excellent, the prices are extremely reasonable, and Elsa is lovely. The fish and red lentils are particularly good. I always prefer to get the injera to go with the curries, but rice is usually better if you're getting take-away.

Christine Face

Cheap and superbly flavoured food served with smiles. BYO, and cheerfully gave containers for leftovers , which my family said was delicious. A real gem of a find, will be coming back next visit

Ali Bahram

Three veggie dish plus bread or rice for $10 Really nice and healthy food. The owners are an Ethiopian couple who are really nice people. They’re clean and respectful and value their customers. Very nice and quiet sitting area with some drink and dessert options. It’s located near Canberra casino

Vishal Pandey

Most delicious food, lovely service, and a very chilled atmosphere. I have been to the flavour of Ethiopia many times, and they never disappoint.

Pleasantly surprised by the vegeterian menu on offer. Had the Winter Feasting Menu which is a three course. The corn ribs and the butternut squash katsu were my favourite. Also very much enjoyed the lavender creme brulee.

Keryn M

Great vegan cafe with a wide variety of sweet and savoury options. The coffee is quite nice and service is fast. I had the mac and cheeze wrap which I understand is often sold out. It was very tasty and a generous size. It does get a little stuffy if you're sitting indoors in warm weather, and our water glasses were all a little dirty, but otherwise it was a good experience.

Ieva

Went there last week. I’m slowly adapting my eating habits to more plant basted meals, a.k.a vegan diet. It would be so much easier if all cafes would be able to serve vegan food at the level you do it! Loved it

Tasha St

Best vegan pancakes I've ever had!!! You don't need to be a vegan to enjoy the food here, my husband took the big breakfast and he really enjoyed the seitan here. The tofu scramble had a very good flavour. The staff are amazing can't wait to come back!

Chloe Snyder

Vegan cinnamon rolls were elite!! Coffee was delicious, the kids menu items were delightedly scarfed, the spicy beans were amazing… probably our favorite place to eat in Canberra.

Kathy

Absolutely loved our AMAZING breakfast. Burgers and the big breakfast. Take away cinnamon scroll was also excellent.

No doubt one of the best vegetarian in Canberra! Love everything here. Sweet and sour soup is too good. We also tried dumplings ( one of the best ones) and eight treasures stir fry. Everything awesome. Will come again 🌟🌟

kusum pathak

Aulac restaurant is fantastic for vegans and vegetarians! The food is tastier than fancier places we've tried. It's perfect for those who usually crave meat but want a plant-based treat. Highly recommend!

Nikita Maguire

AMAZING VEGAN FOOD! I live in Sydney unfortunately so it’s very far from me but I stopped past as I was in the area and it’s one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve stumbled across. 10/10

Mohamed Al Abri

Have heard a lot of good things about au lac and it didn’t disappoint. Lots of options of Vietnamese cuisine and it’s all soy based vegan meats! The ginger fish was so realistic. Even the desserts are all plant based loved it. Will be back soon!

Charlotte Fletcher

It was a lovely restaurant! We went in and we were able to get a seat immediately, the waiter was very nice and super friendly. Even though there were many people eating at the restaurant, the food came very quickly. I had the duck pancakes and they did not disappoint. They were delicious. I also had the massaman curry with beef and it was great!! I will definitely come back here.

Went here during a visit to Canberra and absolutely loved this place. The best Sri Lankan restaurant I've been to so far in Australia! Unlike a lot of other establishments here, these guys actually stay true to the unique Sri Lankan flavors. The ambience was also nice and the service was excellent!

Tenzin Pelden

Trying Sri Lankan food for the first time and it has made up with my expectations and also the service was very polite by the beautiful ladies. Highly recommend the mango coconut ice cream. All the way from Melbourne.👍🏼

Nitin Chauhan

Full Star ✨ on and on , very nice authentic and delicious food. One of the greatest eateries I have discovered in Canberra for a genuine Sri Lankan cuisine with polite personnel and reasonable prices. This restaurant is located near to the Canberra casino under a very good option for lunch and dinner.

nitin fule

Food was out of this world. Got to taste authentic srilankan flavours. Staff was deciplined and attentive. We had srilankan thali for 2. Ambience is good if not perfect. Only feedback that I have is food needs to be warm enough before serving and chef to create more vegetarian options.

Julie Nguyen

Great service and amazing food. Great flavours and everything from food to drinks were great

Beautiful family run vegan restraunt in the ACT. Visited on a Saturday night, staff were very accommodating for walk-ins. Food was served in a fast manner and servings were generous for price. All items on the menu worth trying! Recommend the spicy fried tofu! Pay cash and received a discount, stay focused and support local ✌️

Emily

Absolutely amazing food, couldn’t have asked for anything more. Every dish was superb. I chose this place for my birthday dinner, and my parents (who are non-vegan) were so impressed and pleasantly surprised. We couldn’t fault it. Thank you Utopia for such a great night - we will definitely be back 🙂🙂🙂

K X

I’m not even vegan but this place ROCKS. I love the soy roast duck and the eggplant hot pot on rice. So rich and flavoursome. I seriously get a craving for those two dishes every so often and swing by to get my fix. Takeout option is also very fast and travels well in the car.

Itamar Vieira Junior

My wife and I are on a mission to try all options in the menu ;). We visit at least once a week and the service is always friendly and the food consistently delicious. Nothing like the BBQ rack or hot plate on a hot day and their yellow noodle Laksa on cold days. It is our favourite restaurant in Dickson by far.

Willow McAndrew

On my final evening in Canberra my brother and I were wondering around, look for what to eat, and wow! What a find! The service was fast, the prices great, and the food even better!! Truely a hidden gem, and I’m devastated to be leaving Canberra knowing I won’t be able to eat here again soon!

This place is sooo good. Fresh, healthy meals in a nice environment. Lots of vegan options and great prices. Service is good, though unfortunately one server was very forward in asking me some personal questions, which I did not appreciate. Aside from that, I still love this cafe! 🌈

Kimberley Layton

One of the best cafes in Canberra. Delicious dal and curry, burgers, breakfasts, sweets and excellent coffee. The service is also brilliant - always smiling. Highly recommend!

Liz Phillips

My go to place for delicious healthy lunches and the occasional decadent chocolate brownie! Highly recommended.

Ajay Shah

A dream for vegetarians. Really nice food, very friendly staff. It’s nice seating outside in good weather.
