Amazing service! Edward and Andrea are so flexible and our dog Bonnie loves when they come round. Bonnie was shy and anxious at first but they were so patient with her and made her feel so comfortable! They are flexible when we need them and always keep in touch when we are at work. Could not recommend them enough! πππ
We have trusted Ed & Andreea a number of times to look after our home, dogs, cat and fish. They show great respect for our house and our pets absolutely love them. They were never happy in kennels and the cat was petrified. With Pawtastic Paw, we needn't worry as the whole gang is well taken care of and we are now able to relax on holidays knowing they are so very well looked after. Thank you so much for the effort you dedicate to looking after the most treasured things in our lives. Allie & Lisa, Ryton

I am Claire, the proprietor of Tails of Suburbia. It was because of my lifelong love of dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and hamsters that I founded Tails of Suburbia. In addition to my qualification in pet first aid, I hold diplomas in pet psychology, canine communication, and pet sitting/walking. I have a security clearance (DBS) and am fully insured. I provide a courteous, trustworthy, sincere, and professional service. I will give your dogs my whole attention while I’m with them. I will adhere to all of your particular guidelines (food, medication, play schedules, etc.).
Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value Claire is fantastic! She recently looked after our hamster Abby and goldfish Seed. We met Claire the day before we left for her to meet our pets and go over the details, she was really friendly and had experience of taking care of Syrian hamsters which completely put us at ease. my daughter was a little apprehensive about leaving her hamster at home, but after meeting Claire felt more comfortable, knowing Abby was going to be well looked after and loved while she was away, we even received updates and photos from Claire about how Abby & Seed were doing. Claire is looking after Abby & Seed again next week, and I'm sure it wont be the last time! Thanks again Claire.
Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value My regular dog-minder was unavailable to look after my girl when I was away for the weekend recently and I found Claire and Tails of Suburbia quite by chance and I was so glad I did. Claire put my mind at ease from the very beginning, sending me text updates and photos of Lily having a great time with Claire and Claire's own dog, Jazz. When I saw Lils in her all-time favourite position on a sofa, lying on her back without a care in the world, I knew that she felt comfortable and at-home. What more could you ask for from a dog-boarding service? Will be back when the next need arises. Could not recommend more highly. Thanks again Claire.
Positive: Professionalism, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value Claire looked after our pets during our holidays over several years. She used to look after our 3 dogs, several guinea pigs and my horse. Usually she stayed at ours so the pets wouldn't be on their own. She would not only walk the dogs but feed all pets, clean cages and also exercise my horse. And of course, cuddle and pamper them all. Claire was so caring and loving, our dogs used to freak out with joy when seeing her. She was absolutely reliable and we could always travel without a guilty conscience of leaving our animals. We highly recommend her as a professional pet sitter and thank her for everything she did for us and our pets.Manuela Gruss - Lucy, Candy & Charlie
Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value I'm so glad we found Tails of Suburbia, my 7 month old cockapoo has been walked by Claire since she was 3 months old and I don't know what we would do without the help. Our pup has grown in confidence, and the training we started from an early age is reinforced by Claire during her play sessions which has sped up her training no end. Each day can be a new experience and I love the fact that we have been able to introduce our pup to other dogs at their play sessions of various ages which supports socialising our fluff ball. If you are in need of a reliable and highly experienced walker/carer/best friend for your dog look no further!
Positive: Professionalism, Reliability, Responsiveness I first met Claire at My Second Home in Dubai when my crazy Labrador Nova decided to steal Jazzβs ball and then tell her all about it (Nova was quite a vocal dog). I learnt very quickly that Claire has a passion for all animals, not just dogs. She is very compassionate. Claire was there for us in the time when we had to make a very tough call and was gracious enough to be with our dear Nova when she passed and we were out of the country. This is the kind of person I would definitely want looking after my dogs be it while at work or away on vacation. I would thoroughly recommend Claire and her services.

We provide everything you would require for your pets. From walking dogs to house sitting, boarding dogs and dog daycare. Both large and little pets can be cared for by us!
If I could give10 stars I would. What Nic has done in 11 days is nothing more than a miracle. My friend and I boarded our 2 Westies whilst away on a vacation. She kept us updated throughout as I was particularly worried about my Westie as he is very nervous/aggressive ever since he was attacked by a staffie earlier this year. To a point that he was scared of his own shadow. Our updates showed really positive changes in Milo from being in a close environment with the other dogs and to my shock cats. My friends dog had to be hand fed otherwise he wouldnβt eat. He is now feeding on his own and together with my friends Westie. Nic has also gave me some great advice re feeding, walking and behavioural issues. Once again thank you Jim
My dog has been attending both daycare on a weekly basis since he was a puppy (now 2 years old) as well as having boarded with Nic for short stays and during full holidays over the last year. He's always excited to go and comes homes very happy and tired which is always a good sign! I'd highly recommend Paws Up.
I have 2 dogs and we use Paws up services across the board from daycare to walking and boarding when we go on holiday. Both dogs absolutely adore their time meeting and playing with other dogs. I love how well socialised they are and how loved by the team they are. I would highly recommend if youβre looking for a space your dogs can run off some energy and also be socialised.

Claire is the owner of Barking Mad Dog Sitting in the Tyne Valley and Newcastle. In addition to having extensive experience pet sitting dogs in the Newcastle, West Gateshead, Hexham, and North Durham areas, she and her committed home dog boarders offer customised, one-on-one care. Claire is available to assist her hosts around-the-clock, seven days a week, and to make sure your dog has a great vacation while you are away enjoying the same!
We have two ten year old rescue dogs that had never been left before. We were going to a family wedding on the south coast and had to find somewhere to board them. Fortunately we found Barking Mad. They are really thorough, After our initial telephone conversation Carrie came across for an hour to meet Babs and Maisie to find out all about them. As we were going to be so far away for our first trip, Carrie recommended a trial stay whilst we were still local. They were collected to be looked after by Sam who supplied photos and updates. They were delivered back very happy, so we went ahead with our trip. All was arranged beautifully and we came back to happy dogs again. Highly recommended.
Positive: Professionalism, Reliability Excellent service! We used Barking Mad in the Tyne Valley for the first time this summer. Everything is very well organised, communication great and the drop off and pick up by Ian is excellent. When you use a dog sitter for the first time naturally you are cautious, but our dog Phoebe trots off very happily and we have peace of mind knowing that she is being well looked after. Thanks Carrie and your lovely hosts.
As a host family, we enjoy having different dogs to visit. Being unable to commit to being full time dog owners ourselves, this is an ideal scenario for us - the joy of a dog in our home without the ongoing commitment! My daughter loves getting to know the different dogs who have their holidays with us. I would highly recommend Carrie and the team as they provide us with detailed information about each dog and itβs needs and give us full support.
Eddie had a fabulous weekend with Kathryn and Sam who gave him lots of attention and cuddles. He had a great time playing with sticks and balls in their garden, went for loads of walks in the countryside, made friends with a yorkiepoo and even went out for dinner, deciding to share some of his roast lamb with the humans. They picked up on his likes and dislikes (such as rain) very quickly and clearly made him feel very much at home. I was kept very well-informed and sent some very amusing and reassuring photos and videos of Eddie being his exuberant self. The visit was expertly organised by Carrie, from Barking Mad Newcastle and Tyne Valley, who was very precise and observant regarding his medication and so on. And he was collected and returned, tail wagging, bang on time.
Barking Mad provided an excellent service. We had a fabulous relaxing holiday abroad in the knowledge that our were safe and very happy. We were sent pictures of them meeting their host and it was very clear from the photos they settled in immediately. One of our dogs suffered a back injury the week before we went away. I thought we would have to cancel our trip but on mentioning the problem to Carrie we were reassured that this was not a problem in the least. Hugo got all the rest and special care he needed from his lovely host and when we returned from holiday and his back was so much better. Could not fault Carrie and her team.

8 months ago We are very happy with this kennel! Our pup is very excited whenever we go and the people seem to genuinely care for the pets they board. Big fields for them to run and decent size for their private rooms. Especially love the pic updates we get on their fb page! I suggest booking in advance especially for the summer as it gets fully booked quite fast. Definitely reccommended!
Another stay with Hawthorn! And another success! Can't fault the team at Hawthorn for their care and compassion towards the residents! Our pup stayed 4 weeks ago, and again last week and both times he has come out with a massive smile on his face, and having had lots of fun...They've started offering a wash and blow dry before you pick them up, it's Β£20 and well worth it so your pup smells clean and refreshed coming home!5* in my opinion!
We bring our dog to these kennels when we are on holiday etc. and he absolutely loves it there. He gets plenty of exercise and socialising with other dogs which is great to see on the FB posts. They've also been awarded (again) for top 3 kennels by best 3 rated so you know it's not just my opinion on how good they are! The staff are great and genuinely love what they do so don't hesitate in giving them a try

We provide a range of lodging options to accommodate any kind of dog or cat. With night-vision CCTV monitoring the site entry and heated, secure enclosures for every pet, you can unwind and enjoy your vacation knowing that your furry friend is well-cared for and comfortable.
Dogs can stay in one of our conventional enclosures, which feature an indoor sleeping area that leads to a secure outside run, larger family units, or bungalow-style apartments with TVs and spacious beds modelled after human ones. We’ll let your dog out of their apartment three or four times a day so they may run about freely in our fenced exercise area. Your dogs will never be left with the pets of another customer; we only let them out alone. For an extra fee, we also provide a 30- to 60-minute twilight woods walk.
We are so pleased with the way our dogs were looked after during their recent stay. They are usually quite anxious dogs when meeting new people but they both went off with their new best friend without even a look back. When I returned for them a couple of days later they were over the moon to see me but also went back for goodbye cuddles before getting back in the car looking happy and relaxed. I think that says it all.
First time that we have used boarding kennels as we have only had our dog Rolo since last November. we were a little apprehensive at first of leaving him, but it was necessary as we always holiday abroad. we received daily photos of him from Christine and when we returned he seemed happy, healthy and well cared for. I certainly plan to use their services again in the future. 1
Positive: Professionalism, Reliability, Responsiveness We have been searching for place for our beloved dog to stay when we go on holidays, we put holidays off for a while as we were worried about leaving him. We found Christine and team after recommendation and we are so pleased we did. What a loving and friendly place for our man to stay ! They looked after him superbly and kept us informed of his well being . Fonzie and us are already looking forward to his next visit !Thank you for being fantastic
'Excellent care given to our dog while we were on holiday, also they kept sending us updates and videos via Facebook.' That was the post I did, after the first visit, 4yrs ago. Now we five family dogs and all five have enjoyed their stay/holiday, the five of them just love it so much that they didn't want to get their collers and leads on when we were leaving.
George and Toby stayed here in June this year and I canβt thank Christine and the team enough. George is 11 and Toby is 6 they have never been in kennels before but right from our first visit to check the kennels out we were made to feel at ease about leaving them. The day we left them hand over was very good and both dogs went off tails wagging, we checked Facebook a few times while away and saw photos of the boys and could see they looked happy. We picked them up and they looked happy, healthy and very well looked after. Would not hesitate to use Lanchester pet resort again and would highly recommend to anybody.Once again thank you so much for looking after our boys and no doubt we will see you again.Barry, Denise and Kayleigh xx

Excellent kennels. We have been using them for the last 5 years. Our little dog isn't the easiest as generally he doesn't like people or other dogs but he loves going on his holidays to Foxton Wood. He gets very excited and can't wait to get out of the car when we get there. He loves the staff team and they are love him. We get regular photos via WhatsApp and he always looks like he's having a lot of fun. I can go on holiday knowing he's well looked after and I have nothing to worry about.
I can't thank all the amazing staff at Foxton Wood enough for their outstanding care. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else, they love them like their own and they're always so happy to see them. I'm definitely an awkward owner with lots of requirements for my dogs from raw feeding to several supplements but nothing was a problem. 1 of my dogs are lame so she needs 15 minutes of light therapy on her knee every day which they were also happy to do for her. This was the first time I've left them in kennels & I'm so impressed I won't be worrying when they have their next stay! Regular Facebook photo updates of my dogs enjoying their self really gave me peace of mind while I was away. You really are the best, thank you.
Your dog has a Holiday when they come to stay, So you enjoy yours more knowing that there safe and loved by Highly trained staff a credit to John and Anne .Bruce in the pictures is our 3rd Retriever to use such wonderful Kennels making us customer's for 30 years hope this review says it All . Very happy to leave my dogs here! The previous place hadn't listened to my requirements at all... They are well exercised in an enclosed space - as we have a Husky this is the only chance for off lead she gets! Great communication, staff very informed, great facility and have booked already for this year . Definitely recommend

Ferry Farm Boarding Kennels and Cattery, a family-run business that has been in business for 20 years, provides the highest calibre of care for your pet’s requirements.
Very clean and great facilities for each dog as they are kept in there own individual rooms with an outside area separate. Very friendly staff who talked through everything to make sure we knew what would be happing to our Mr Monty. When I went back he was so relaxed and happy and you could see he'd been looked after. I was very impressed and will definitely be using there services again without hesitation.
First time having the dogs in a kennel up here and felt so reassured through the whole process. They were in for the longest they've been in kennels and over bonfire night and the dogs were so calm and happy. We visited them a couple times to drop off food and were always welcomed and could pop the see the dogs or take them for a spin whenever we wanted to. Such lovely, kind staff and really go the extra mile to make you and your dogs feel welcomed, safe and secure.

Positive: Professionalism, Reliability Wouldnβt take our dogs anywhere else, the service Home From Home provide is excellent. We began boarding our dogs here after a negative experience with another boarding kennels, so were quite dubious of trying out another place in case the same thing happened. However, the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and itβs clear they care about the dogs and cats as if they were their own. If thereβs ever been an issue with our dogs theyβre always quick to communicate it to us, and we know that our dogs are in safe hands when left here. Especially love the Facebook updates of your pets, so you get to see theyβre doing just fine without you.
Any questions or anxieties were put to bed with my dogs staying here. Staff very helpful and willing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place, they seemed to genuinely love and care for all the dogs. My 2 returned home tired and seemed to enjoy their little mid week stay. Provisionally booked again for next year.
Went for a visit with my dog so he can get used to the place and using the bark park. Absolutely over the moon found this place. Lively staff, especially Claire and brilliant price. Out the way so don't nneed to worry about my dog possibly trying to do the great escape and not near main road. Can also book online which is a bonus. Definitely booking the park out for my dog as he loved it and sulked as he had to leave.
This kennel is brilliant! The staff are excellent and really look after your dogs. We took our pooch up, who isn't all that friendly with other dogs due to being attacked when he was yoinger, he thoroughly enjoyed himself, and the staff were very praising of him.Love these kennels for our pooch, my parents have been using them for 18 years now too and they've never failed us yet!

Website: https://rosiesplace.co.uk/
Adorable dog daycare establishment Rosie’s Place is ideally situated across from Gosforth Park. It offers both indoor and outdoor habitats, providing your dog the ideal playground to socialise in all weather situations. It has two huge outdoor and two large indoor play and agility spaces spread over an acre of land with climate-controlled log cabins.
Luna had the same dog walker since she was a puppy but unfortunately they were unable to continue so we swapped her to Rosie's. She loves her walks here and she seems to have fitted in with no problems! She always seems to have a lovely time. We were quite worried how she would react going out with someone else but she's been absolutely fine at Rosie's. There's regular photos on their website so it's great to see them all having fun and enjoying themselves. Would highly recommend!
My dogs absolutely love Rosie's, although I don't actually know if they've ever met... Staff are always friendly - despite the deluge of puppers at 7:30 in the morning and the stragglers at 6:00 in the evening - and seem to love the dogs that come through. Occasionally apprehensive about getting out of the car, I struggle sometimes to get my dogs back in when I pick them up they're that excited.Extremely relaxed policy, no need to book, just turn up and drop off (once they've passed their probationary half day taster).Thoroughly recommended if you're after a doggy day care.
Our 7 month old dog Ted has been going to Rosie's for the past 3 weeks. He is so excited to arrive and seems to have a lovely time. The photos taken and posted are a huge reassurance and give you just a glimpse of the fun they are having and he clearly never stops as he is still tired by the next day! Fantastic value for money and a brilliant way to entertain, stimulate and socialise your dog. Genuinely cannot recommend highly enough!
This is a fabulous place for dog care. My granddogs just love it. They cry when they see where they are as they can't wait to get inside and see their furry friends. The staff are great with the dogs and its so secure with cameras all over you have a peace of mind when you leave them that they are safe and secure.

We at Happy Paws recognise that your pets are members of your family and work hard to provide the Newcastle community with devoted and professional dog walks and cat sitting services. Your ability to juggle work and life may occasionally prevent you from being at home for them. We are aware that you want them to receive the same amount of love, care, and exercise that you would provide for them. When those moments arise, Happy Paws will provide your pet with the kind, considerate care that they deserve.
While you are at work or unable to care for your puppy, Happy Paws will take care of all the feeding, playing, companionship, basic training, and, when necessary, short walks.
We were initially worried to leave our cat at home given that he's 15 and has both kidney disease and regular bouts of pancreatitis. Darrin was brilliant though and made us feel really confident that our cat would be well looked after in his care. When we arrived home it was clear that Whiskers had been absolutely fine all week and his food/litter needs had all been catered for perfectly. The regular emails and photos are also really great and gave us a worry free holiday! We will definitely use Happy Paws again!
