One of the best restaurants in Sydney. Bas, the bar manager is so friendly and welcoming. He offered us a special cocktail that they were planning to put on the menu. Queen was the bartender who made it. It was such a lovely matcha drink with taste of coconut and citrus. She made it so beautifully. The food was great would highly recommend this place

Ana Delevska

Everything was absolutely amazing, service, atmosphere, food and not to mention the drinks! We had the banquet, which was a very good way to experience the menu. If you like sweet(ish) cocktails, try the Lotus Blossom Highly recommended restaurant!

Estelle Peden

One of the best restaurants in Sydney: food is amazing, service is incredible (such high attention to detail) and atmosphere is lovely. It got busy towards the end so we had to wait a bit long for our last dishes but the staff was really helpful and handled it well. We’ll definitely come back!

Ana S.

First time at Ora. Wherever head chef Ura is, is where we will follow. His food never disappoints and the best Japanese in Australia. Ora is beautiful and the service is first class. Cant wait to return.

Excellent service, delicious food! My stir fried Udon with katsu came out piping hot! They even suggested getting a baby avocado roll for my child instead of ordering a large veggie roll

Mandy Nuttall

We had the 7 course chefs selection which was delicious. All the flavours were on point and there was nothing we didn't like. The atmosphere was good with fun decor. Highly recommend checking this one out.

Kenzo Habiro Caliari

The restaurant was a very enjoyable experience as the all the employees were very nice and easy to talk to. The food was amazing and the location was great as it was underground and cozy. The sets were very comfortable unlike other places and the restaurant itself was just remarkable

Cosy atmosphere within the restaurant. The staff were lovely and polite. Food was amazing and flavourful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Minbo Wang

The beef ribs melts from the bone and full of flavour. The Miso Eggplant with cheese is an interesting fusion of flavours. The yuzu chicken ramen was both unique in flavour and comes piping hot.

Charmaine Wan

The smoked beef ribs, tempura broccolini (special for the day) and scallop carpaccio - all 3 delicious and superbly prepared dishes. Will return for beef ribs ramen. Great choice of alcoholic beverages- cocktails and mocktails as well as sake and Japanese beers

Atulya Grover

Delicious food, perfect atmosphere, helpful and sweet staff.. And they have vegan options too (perfect for vegetarians)..Loveddd it ! ❤️❤️

Roy Chong

Was one of the best ramens I've had. I had the beef rib ramen. Broth was 'soulful' and just spicy enough, meat was tender and falling off the bone. Atmosphere of the restaurant was cosy and the staff service was excellent.

Great cocktail menu, the wait staff were so attentive and the food was amazing. We got Wagyu tacos, sashimi, scallops, the scotch fillet, mushrooms, fondant and the pavlova. The wagyu scotch fillet was a standout. Definitely worth it.

Sophia Sarkis

Amazing Japanese food . Everything we ordered was all delicious & absolutely loving the presentation as well. Yuli who served us on the night was very friendly and very nice to making sure that customers are happy. The only downside is to find the restaurant was a bit challenging for the first timer . We definitely recommend this restaurant to try it out for those who haven’t.

Tony Phan (myliltony)

Dining menu was way worth it's value. The brussels sprouts salad was incredibly flavourful and this is coming from a person that dislikes them. It's a nice restaurant with an intimate setting tucked inside Sydney's CBD. Lovely dinner 🥰

2 d

Great food! Only thing i would line to comment is miso soup coming out at the middle. That should be at the end. Yamazaki fondant was amazing and so is bug tempura!!!!! Black angus was cooked perfect!

Mn Ja

I originally wrote a review about food being somewhat salty but management reached out to say that they will relay the information to kitchen and even offered to remedy the experience. I was unable to take up on their offer but feel that the restaurant genuinely cares about the dining experience. The restaurant staff was very friendly and kind too. Bumping the review to 5 stars.

Our second omakase experience and the best one so far. It’s extremely filling so come with an appetite. We had the casual omakase. The eel was delicious! The dessert was sensational. Highly recommend!!

Had their omakase and was thoroughly impressed. My family wouldn’t stop raving about it after. The waitress Winnie and the waiter (didn’t catch his name) were great and made us feel very welcomed. Chef Kim was also very personable and friendly and explained each dish as they were served. Definitely worth a try if you want something more than your usual sushi meal. Their chawanmushi, otoro, wagyu, and yuzu sorbet were our favourite.

Chris T

An intimate setting with friendly chefs and servers that keep you entertained throughout the omakase. Fresh ingredients with distinctive tastes and impeccable presentation. We really enjoyed our first experience here. =)

Lovely themed decor with bar seating to watch sushi being made before you, or high grade tuna and salmon being skillfully sliced. Would recommend the $30 limited (10 made a day only) Bento Box for lunch, and the omakase experience. They also have happy hour $2 oysters and cheap drinks that I would love to return for!

lilithchick

Very good restaurant in a beautiful building. The food was very good, though the portions were a bit on the small side. But the prices were reasonable, so can just order more. I highly recommend the pork belly! And of course the seafood and veggie tempura, karaage chicken, agedashi tofu, and their desert! Their matcha filled cake was delicious!Service was good too. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely come back.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants around. The best part is the excellent quality dishes within 6 minutes walk. I am so grateful for the true Japanese taste they provide. Umami. It just fulfils my taste buds perfectly. Staff are kind and helpful.

Post Scarcity

The salmon teriyaki (bento?) was one of the best meals I have had in my life. Perfectly well balanced and proportioned at an accessible price point. The service was equally as good. Would have loved the option to pair it with iced yuzu tea!

Erdesz Adam

My Zakaya was recommended to us by a friendly passenger sitting with us on a Jetstar flight from Cairns. We had a lunch menu with the chef’s selection of sushi recommendation and a chicken karaage. Served super fresh and with Japanese touch it was definitely inexpensive of our most memorable lunch in Sydney, Surrey Hills area. Arigato gozaimasu!

Sarah Dalton

This boutique Japanese restaurant has a really intimate and cosy vibe. We enjoyed the delicious lunch menu! I had the delicious Terriaki Chicken Teishoku and Ashai lunch beer special. The Edamame were the best I have ever tried. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Japanese experience. The food is very high quality. I can’t wait to go back to try all the other dishes on the Menu, that my friends also tried.

Managed to get a large group table relatively last minute for a Saturday night and was really happy with the super great service and food! We did a set menu for $70 pp and the food was so delicious, and we were also full at the end. Especially loved the tataki, saucy dumplings and super juicy karaage. Getting a huge bottle of sake to share was also lots of fun!!

The food is very tasty and very affordable. The shop has shortage of workers and some items on the menu are not available.Although the food court is very crowded, it is clean. The cleaning team is trying very hard to clear the trays from the tables. 👍👍

Ed

Lovely chefs and servers that bring your food with a smile. Great to grab a quick bento box and go back to work. Would recommend eating there as their fried foods get a little mushy when in the takeaway container. But still tasted great!
